The blog hop winners will be announced on May 21
on Facebook, the SNS blog, and on our blogs.

My first project is a card, using the new Floral Flourish.  This large flourish is perfect for cards and scrapbook pages.  I decided to use it to create a decorative edge/frame around my card.  I stamped it with VersaMark Ink, heat embossed it with Moss Star Embossing Powder, and colored it using Tombow Markers.

For the sentiment, stamped and heat embossed it on a scalloped oval die cut.  I sponged ink around the outer edge and then created a mask with a window and sponged yellow ink on the actual sentiment.

I placed double sided "Tear-ific" Tape behind the decorative openings around the die cut and added Sunny Daze glitter.  I wanted to tuck this under the edges of the flourish "frame" so I cut around the parts that overlapped.

All of this was layered on blue, yellow, and a green card base.I

I recently missed my local stamp club meeting to visit my daughter and spend time finishing her wedding invitations (yes, I will share these soon).  One of our dear members shared an awesome little mini album and two of my friends gave me the instructions when I came back and showed me what they made.  I just had to make one and our new Garden Silhouette set was just perfect for this project.

I used a template to create the white base and sponged ink on all the edges.  Then I used six coordinating pieces of designer cardstock and dark brown cardstock and started to add my layers.

I used two different designs on the outside of the album, and created the little round fastener to hold it shut with twine.  I used a glue pen to add glitter to some of the design on the cardstock, though the camera only picks up part of this.

For the first pages, I simply stamped the floral image in brown, along with the sentiment.  I used the little flowers and grass from the top section of the watering can image along the bottom of each section.  Once again I added glitter to the background design.  It really adds and wish it showed up in the picture.

For the second section, I laid the two sections side by side and stamped the one image across both.  Then I filled in with more of the little flowers and grass.  I added two different glitters to the butterflies in the background.

I laid the sections side by side again for this third section and then added the clay pots to one side.  I stamped the sentimenton a rectangle of another  coordinating cardstocks,  then rounded the corners and sponged with ink.  This time I chose to ink parts of the stamped image instead of the background.

For the fourth section I used this sweet kitty silhouette and cut out the sentiment with a Spellbinders Label Four die.  I added glitter to the background swirls and flower centers.

The fifth section is once again stamped side by side with the flower image and the sentiment was a simple rectangle with the corners rounded and the edges inked.  The stripes in the background and the leaves and swirls on the sentiment piece were glittered.

The instructions I followed indicated to cut off the last little piece on this section, but I chose to just fold it in and create a pocket.  I combined a lot of the different images for this grand finale.  Then I used a sentiment from the new Nesting Bird set for the little tag.  Of course, there is more glitter added to all background designs.

You can find the detailed instructions for this album in the gallery here.  Also, watch for a complete tutorial with template on the SNS blog and in the Tips and Techniques soon.

Don't forget to leave a comment to get entered for a chance to win.  Then head over to see what my fellow designers have created for you.  Make sure you check out the SNS Creative Challenges for the current challenge.

Have a wonderful week!
