My card features images and sentiments from the By the Seashore and Ocean Treasures sets.  A variety of Distress Inks and Memento Inks were used to create the colorful background on glossy cardstock.

The sea grass and birds were stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Ebony Spark embossing powder.  This was added to a layer edged with Tear-ific Tape and Florida Beach glitter was added to the remaining exposed adhesive.  This was all added to a card base with the edges inked.

The "Voice of the Sea" was embossed with Dark Night embossing powder and die cut with Spellbinders’ Classic Circles dies.  It was adhered with Clear Acetate on dimensional tape to create a shaker window.  Small die cuts from Memory Box’s Oceana Corner, small glass beads, and a small amount of Florida Beach glitter were added to the inside.

The Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenge also begins today.  There are lots of prizes and recognition badges.  Come check out how you can become a SNS Featured Artist as well.  The theme is always Anything Goes using Loose Glitter, Embossing Powder, and/or Flock.

We hope you enjoy the New Reveal Blog Hop as much as we do.  Thanks for joining us and remember to comment on each of the Designers' blogs to be eligible for the Grand Prize.
Wonder who the Mystery Host will be this month????

The next stop on our blog hop is Belinda.

Scrapy Land Challenge #24 - Pockets/Tags (create a pocket or include a tag)

It is time for a new challenge at the Scrapy Land Blog.  Challenge #24 is Pockets/Tags – Create a pocket or include a tag (using any brand of die Scrapy Land sells).  While shopping for a birthday celebration I found a gift bag with a little pocket on the front and this inspired my project for today.

I started with a yellow polka-dot gift bag and added a square pocket to the front with a window die cut with Spellbinders’ Decorative Labels One.  Spellbinders’ D-Lites Medallion 4 was cut from pink and white and tucked under the pocket and Blooms One from yellow to create the flowers.

Spellbinders’A2 Divine Eloquence die was used to create the pink tag by cutting out the top half and then trimming the sides to create the length of tag wanted.   Spellbinders’ CrissCross die was cut from white and layered on top of the tag and a piece of honeycomb was placed at the top to give the appearance of a cupcake since that was the party theme.

The sentiment was stamped on a bright pink square and added to the tag, along with a yellow bow using a Crisp Bows die from Memory Box.

Here is the completed bag I used for my friend’s birthday gift.  I used decorative napkins in place of tissue paper.  I think she was pleased with the bag and the gift.

Color Bursts With The Tree Scene Image

Color Bursts are one of the latest coloring mediums and create amazing backgrounds. This card uses Pthalo Green and Ultramarine Blue with the Tree Scene. Since these colors can spread very easily, I masked the sky to color the trees and then masked the trees and ground to color the sky. Dimensional Glue was used to add Bridal glitter to the snowy areas of the tree.

The colored scene was layered behind a dry embossed layer with an oval window edged with Dimensional Glue and more Bridal glitter

The deer from the Reindeer set were colored and fussy cut and popped up over the scene along the bottom of the oval opening.

Then a second layer, with scored lines on both sides of 1/8” Tearific Tape covered with Bridal glitter and a large rectangular window, was layered on this.
