Wow!
Where is the summer going? I can’t believe it is August already. With a new month comes a new challenge at
Just For Fun Rubber Stamps Blog.
For
the month of August the challenge theme is “Sand In Our Toes”. Think beach or ocean.
We
also have an optional sketch we would love to see you use.
I
recently visited my youngest daughter and we spent some time at the beach. It is always so relaxing, with the sound of
the waves. This is one of my favorite
places to vacation. Great inspiration
for my card.
After
creating a soft watercolor background, I stamped the Palm Trees in black. I wanted a dark solid black image so I
actually re-stamped it using my handmade Misti, using a picture frame from
Ikea. This worked great.
The
sentiment, How great to do nothing, was stamped in blue, and both pieces were
layered on black.
The card was completed
using additional layers of yellow and blue.
